It's a good feeling, being out and about and socialising with the potential of clicking with someone!

I enjoyed meeting a new group of people. Single & Mingle events are well organised and very friendly.

The hosts were very friendly and their effort to make everyone feel welcome was amazing!

Loved meeting people face to face and being able to read people’s body language. Something you can't do online!

Really good event, perfectly run. Did what it said on the tin... single and mingle. No worrying about trying to sell yourself in 3 minutes etc.

I always have a really great time at a Single & Mingle event, the hosts are very welcoming and friendly and everyone that attends is very approachable so it's a great way to get back into the dating world or make new friends.

About the event

Fed up of the endless scroll of dating app doom? Sick and tired of meaningless swipes? Craving in-person interaction?

Meet new people and make new friends at our popular in-person, mixed-age singles night! Whether you’re in your early 20s, over 60, or anywhere in between, you’re sure to enjoy this fun & relaxed social, where the conversations are as diverse as the people you’ll meet. The friendship groups that have developed as a result of our all-age events is nothing short of humbling.

Join us for Singles Night at Temper & Brown (formerly The Pig & Tail) in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter on Thursday 29 August for our first singles event in Birmingham.

You never know who you might meet!

There is no set format to the event, it’s a very informal social gathering.

Everyone at this event is single and dating, so get chatting, have fun, and enjoy getting to know new people. And remember, some people will be feeling a little nervous, so please be mindful of this.

We don’t want you to feel any pressure to ask for people’s details.

That’s why we have our fuss-free post-event connection request service. The day after an event, we’ll send you an email with a link to a form. Simply fill it out and include a little message and we’ll pass it on for you.

Tickets & Bookings

Pre-booking is advised

Limited early bird tickets are available up to two weeks before an event – but when they’re gone, they’re gone.

As event organisers, we really appreciate early bookings so we can manage numbers and the expectations of our fabulous venue partners. 

On-the-door tickets

A small number of tickets might be available on the door. We invite you to contact us 3-4 hours before an event to check as we’d hate for you to turn up and there not be any tickets left.

Some events will be cash only on the door.

How to get the most out of an event

  • Get involved - you will get out what you put in
  • Talk to as many people as you can
  • If you're coming with friends, try to split off from one another, otherwise, you risk not mingling with new people
  • Try not to sit or stand with your back to the room
  • If you're struggling to mingle, come and find your host, who will introduce you to some people
  • Keep your eye on your drink - remember you're out with people you don't know!

  • Don't hog one person all night - let others socialise with them too
  • Don't assume someone is interested in you romantically because they're talking to you
  • Don't be rude
