I have never done anything like this before and to be honest, was extremely hesitant. I went with a friend but lots of people were there alone and it was a really great night. We didn't have expectations to meet 'the one', we just wanted to have a fun night and that's exactly what we did! Talked to some amazing people, had some drinks and felt super comfortable and at ease the whole time. The hosts were fab and welcoming.
I enjoyed meeting a new group of people. Single & Mingle events are well organised and very friendly.
So at first I wasn't struck on Single and Mingle because I expected around 200 people, but there was only 20! As the night wore on I saw Jenga on the table so started playing it with a few others. It had questions on the bricks like 'what's your ideal first date?' etc. I started talking to someone, got on really well and we're going on a date next week :) I've been to a few different events and never really met anyone.
I treat Single and Mingle as a good value night out where I can meet people whom I would otherwise never meet. There is generally a relaxed atmosphere with the safe knowledge that the attendees are single and wanting to meet other singles, certainly without the 'wild west' nature of dating apps. I would say you should attend several events without high expectations to get the flavour and used to the feel in general. I have been attending for well over a year and look forward to each outing. Give it a whirl!
Loved meeting people face to face and being able to read people’s body language. Something you can't do online!
Really good event, perfectly run. Did what it said on the tin... single and mingle. No worrying about trying to sell yourself in 3 minutes etc.
I always have a really great time at a Single & Mingle event, the hosts are very welcoming and friendly and everyone that attends is very approachable so it's a great way to get back into the dating world or make new friends.
I can't tell you how much I've broadened my social circle since attending Single & Mingle events. And for that I'm so grateful.
